Let the waters settle and you will see the moon and

the stars mirrored in your own being. - Rumi

Contemplations on the depth of the night sky and the distance

starlight travels to awaken wonder, has nourished the human spirit since

the very no beginning. The study of plant medicine is as vast as all the

stars in the universe. Perhaps this is why the relationship between plants, herbalists and the stars is as ancient time. The Celts turned to trees to carry messages to heavens. Traditional

herbalists of India, Ayurvedic Herbalist, frequently consult a patient’s

astrological chart to understand the nature of the illness and the herbs

to use. First Nations ask the stars to guide them in picking their herbs

and making medicine.

Come, join us for a week of in-depth contemplation of the planets and plant medicine.

Greet each morning with a heartfelt meditation on our home planet, Earth.

Morning workshops will explore:

  • Qi Cong to help you attune to the subtle vibrations

  • An exploration of the planets in the zodiac

  • How the planet manifests in your personal chart

  • Creative visualizations and active meditations to deepen your understanding of the planet

Afternoon workshops will dive into:

  • Ancient stories told about the planets

  • Physical attributes of the planets in medical astrology

  • Healing meditations using the vibration of each planet

  • Plant medicine associated with each planet

Evenings we will gather for a group meditation.

There will be plenty of time to play on the beach, float in the ocean, have naps and gaze at the stars.

Please bring your personal birth chart. They can be obtained free of charge from www.astro.com

Abrah Arneson

For most people there is an essential question in their life. This question is their beacon during times of transformation. Some would even say this question is their karma. Abrah’s question is: how can the intoxicating beauty of life co-exist with the despair suffering can bring? This question has led Abrah to work in hospice supporting the dying, train as doula to hold women in their labour, travel to all continents on this planet and spend a retreat in the Yukon wilderness. And that is just the easy stuff.

Abrah’s practice of herbal medicine, she has been practicing for 15 years, has nourished this question and deepened her understanding of transformation from illness to health, from despair to hope and from disconnection to connection.

Abrah carries crow medicine and like a crow she is immensely curious and seeks understanding through gathering wisdom from many traditions. Astrology has been a tradition that has guided Abrah for over 30 years when she bought her first book on astrology.

Abrah is the authored The Herbal Apprentice: Plant Medicine and The Human Being and the Herbal Apprentice Workbook.
